mGovernment Innovation Centre
is the right setting for talented mobile application programmers.
T
he Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) seeks to supply
the mGovernment with competent national talents, reinforce the cul-
ture of entrepreneurship, and encourage young people and developers
to start implementing their own innovations. It also aims at providing
them with the necessary experiences and skills and keeping them up-
to-date with latest developments.
In order to fulfill such goals, TRA is launch
-
ing the mGovernment Innovation Centre
soon, which acts as a fertile environment
and platform for applying cutting-edge
technology, developing and testing appli-
cations, and encouraging and sponsoring
smart innovations.
The Centre targets government and pri-
vate agencies, as well as university stu-
dents through training workshops. It also
reaches out to average users through vir-
tual online lectures.
In the following interview, the Centre’s
manager Eng. Meshal Abdulla BinHus-
sain talks to mGov magazine about the
objectives of the Centre, pointing out that
it seeks to enable national talents and de-
velop and support innovation.
He stressed that the Centre offers consul-
tation services to government entities with
the assistance of experts from operation
system providers such as IOS, Android,
Blackberry, and Windows Phone.
