Adding to its package of mobile services,
the Dubai Municipality has launched its
Parks And Beaches Mob App through
which it will offer distinguished services for
the public exceeding users’ expectations
and achieving the highest level of custom-
er satisfaction.
The app contains general information
about the places and available servic-
es and facilities. Users can access and
search parks, beaches and places nearby
such as restaurants and other amenities.
Users can also search places by activity
and make a plan to visit parks and beach-
es three days in advance based on the
weather conditions given by the app. The
application is compatible with all smart
phones.
The live screen available in the app shows
the facilities available in each park, so that
users can plan their activities before head-
ing to the park.
The app will help users as well identify
parks locations and get directions to reach
to their preferred site. Through the app,
Dubai Municipality will update users on
the latest developments related to parks
and their events, ladies days, BBQ areas
and other related matters.
The app allows users to learn about regu-
lations related to parks and play areas,
lodge feedback to the complaints and
suggestions system or report any obser-
vations.
“Sallety”
update brings 650 new commodities
The Dubai Department of Economic
Development has updated its “Sal-
lety” mobile app which the first-of-its-
kind in the region to provide a list of
the basic commodities and products
of interest to consumers along with
their prices at 9 different shopping
outlets around Dubai.
The new version of the app features
high flexibility compared to the earlier
one. Earlier, the price lists were up-
dated every 24 hours, but DED has
now linked Sallety to the IT network of
the hypermarkets to reflect any varia-
tions in prices instantly. Moreover,
the number of goods listed on Sallety
was increased from 550 to 1,200, an
increase of over 100 per cent.
The new features also include the
“alternative products” so that if a con-
sumer can’t find the specific brand of
product he is searching for, the sys-
tem will give him the alternative op-
tions.
The application will also print a bill of
the products chosen and their prices
so that the consumer can avail of the
same price when he makes the ac-
tual purchase.
