boosts its
mServices with 4 new systems
The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and
Industry (SCCI) has entered the mTransi-
tion race to provide smart mobile services
to the public in general and to its members
in particular through mobile phones. The
move is part of SCCI’s strive to provide
more streamlined services to its custom-
ers and boost its competitiveness, be-
ing the driving power for a sustainable
commercial and industrial growth in the
business community and a center of ex-
cellence in terms of implementing best
practices in both eServices and mSer-
vices.
SCCI’s mobile app offers value-added
services that allow customers to benefit
from the best practices imple-
mented by SCCI in line with the role it
plays in facilitating services offered by
businesses, commercial and industrial
firms in the community, as well as its lo-
cal, regional and international government
partners.
Over the coming stage, SCCI is set to
support the app to offer a variety of new
services through smart phones in a bid to
promote quality of the offered services,
and hence boost the investment environ-
ment in Sharjah and keep up to the civi-
lized renaissance witnessed by the coun-
try in general and Sharjah in particular
being a prominent destination attracting
investments and a regional model in terms
of its service sector.
The Dubai Police General Headquarters
has backed its mServices with four dis-
tinctive systems including the IQ test for
children, the personal smart interview,
passengers inspection system and the
smart, interactive virtual reality headset.
The Raven’s progressive matrices IQ test
for children is one of the best and most
popular intelligence tests. It can be admin-
istered to a group of people, or individuals,
ranging from 6 to 12 years old. The test
consists of a set of the most common non-
verbal patterns.
The passenger inspection system, mean-
while, aims to give a secure online envi-
ronment to train inspectors at airports on
the correct inspection procedures through
focusing on the most common mistakes
with the aim to reduce their occurrence on
ground.
The system was designed using the latest
multiplatform technologies making it oper-
able on the various smart 3-D operation
systems. It aims to train inspectors and
develop their skills.
On the other hand, the “Oculus” virtual
reality headset for 3-D gaming allows us-
ers to step inside the virtual world of the
game. Wearing the virtual reality headset,
users can drive a racing car and compete
with others in an atmosphere of fun and
excitement.
