The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity
Council (QCC) has launched ‘Jawdah’,
a portal that offers easy access to QCC’s
technical services and allows users to ap-
ply, register and track the status of submit-
ted applications.
Meaning ‘quality’ in Arabic, Jawdah offers
stakeholders - including manufacturers,
suppliers, exporters, and retailers - a de-
tailed step-by-step guide on how to register
for various service categories. The Jawdah
system also shows how to upload required
documents and track the status and fill out
of applications.
The portal integrates QCC’s core services
including product certification systems cer-
tification, as well as the Emirates Metrology
Institute services, legal metrology services
and the registration of conformity assess-
ment bodies.
The Sharjah Commerce & Tourism Devel-
opment Authority unveiled the Sharjah My
Destination website. The website reflects
the identity of the emirate with respect to
its culture, heritage and family traditions. It
displays the variety of services of the Au-
thority offered to tourists and investors that
suit people from all ages and backgrounds.
It showcases Sharjah’s landmarks and nu-
merous tourist attractions rendering it an in-
ternational tourist destination and a capital
of Islamic and Arab culture.
It creates a virtual Sharjah experience offer-
ing an essential guide to living, experienc-
ing and investing in this beautiful emirate.
From basic tips such as ‘Planning Your Trip,
Getting There and Getting Around’ to Where
to Stay, Explore Sharjah, Invest in Sharjah,
Work in Sharjah’ every essential aspect has
been covered.

agreement with PCCW Global, the
international operating division of
HKT, the premier telecommunica-
tions service provider, to offer Smart
Home services across the UAE.

egy of integrating third party smart

In line with evolving trends, this
initiative will bring innovative tech-
nologies to homes across the UAE,
ensuring that they are well and truly
integrated into the nation’s evolving

The collaboration will focus on five
main pillars - home networking, in-
cluding Wi-Fi and cloud services;
home automation and control;
home entertainment; surveillance
and monitoring and cameras; and
Do It Yourself Retail.

should combine comfort, easy oper-
ation, and leading innovative solu-
tions under one ceiling so that com-
munication and linking solutions
can enhance a better quality of life.
