The Ministry of Social Affairs has
launched the iOS-based app “Be
my friend”. It contains all the issues
of the magazine and offers a table
of content that makes it easier for
the children to reach to the required
information and read them.
The app allows the child to take a
printout of the pictures for coloring
and send messages to their friends
via email, giving the magazine more
reach out and easier access to ev-
ery child using iPad.

The Ministry of Social Affairs has named
its official smartphone application as “M-
Social”. The app includes a package of
informative services, such as vision ,
mission, values, site map and the smart
library which contains the ministry’s laws,
regulations and service delivery policy. It
also gives a window on the ministry’s me-
dia center.
In its smart apps, the ministry considered
the privacy of its beneficiaries, the majority
of whom are elderly, children and people
with special needs and need special ser-
vices.
M-social allows communication with cus-
tomers through receiving their enquiries
via the “something in your mind” page, in
addition to displaying numbers that are
important to customers.
The app also offers a package of proce-
dural beneficiary-based services, as well
as the disabled card services; issuance,
renewal and replacement of lost or dam-
aged cards via mobile phones. Through
the app, beneficiaries of social security
can apply for social aid.
The app allows as well issuance of licens-
es for nurseries and private disabled cen-
ters, declaration of a cooperative society,
issuance of a productive family member-
ship, licensing family consultation offices,
in addition to social service data registra-
tion in the “Netrabat” database. The addi-
tional features of the app include applica-
tion status tracking and it is available for
Apple and Android platforms.
