The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has launched
its application for Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 smart watches. The
move underlines DEWA’s commitment to be closer to its cus-
tomers through providing its services to them through all smart
and modern channels that meet their daily needs.
DEWA’s Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 app complements its main
smart app. It provides a number of services and features in-
cluding the sayings of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al
Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and
Ruler of Dubai.
It enables customers to enquire about their bills, and learn
about the different payment channels, customer service centre
locations, contact details, among others. It can be downloaded
from the Samsung Gear Manager, making it easy for customers
to use.
The app supports the previous version of Samsung Galaxy
Gear smart watches.
DEWA had completed smart transformation of all its services
in less than a year after the smart transformation strategy was
announced, enabling 24/7 access all its services over smart de-
vices.
DEWA started adopting smart technologies in 2009 which re-
sulted in launching its smart app with more than 150 services
and features, enhancing its smart completion process.
DEWA provides all its services through the updated version
of DEWA’s smart application, which is compatible with vari-
ous platforms including Android, iOS, and Blackberry. It is also
accessible on various operating systems including Windows,
Windows Phones, Samsung home entertainment systems, Eti-
salat’s eLife and through its web application on
.
