The Emirates Identity Authority has launched
a new community initiative titled “This is our
ID”. The initiative is aimed at acquainting or-
ganizations, university and school students
and customers on the importance of the
Emirates ID card and how to take advantage
of its applications in real life, besides giving
them the opportunity to see the best practic-
es adopted by the Authority to promote learn-
ing from organizational experiences.
Emirates ID underlined that this initiative,
which is overseen by its Emirates Center for
Organizational Learning, also aims to shed
light on the major initiatives, which are being
implemented by Emirates ID to support many
of the UAE’s vital projects, promoting digital
economy and enabling the shift to smart
electronic services in the country.
Al Ain City Municipality (AACM) hired Injazat
Data Systems to promote the concept of sus-
tainability through the Virtual Desktop Infra-
structure (VDI) project.
This solution is intended to benefit AACM’s
customer service centers as well as VIPs
such as executives and directors of key mu-
nicipal departments.
The VDI helps minimize the electrical con-
sumption of devices as well as reduce main-
tenance and technical support requirements.
It also enhances security, allows the client
to easily access its desktop from anywhere,
improves operational and service functions,
offers 99.9 percent system availability, and
ensures faster response – all at a lower cost.
Technology is an important pillar in AACM’s
vision of becoming an efficient, world-class
municipality that follows the highest interna-
tional standards in IT and promotes the con-
cept of sustainability.
