In a video broadcasted on YouTube
under the title “Mohammed bin Rashid
launches #DubaiSpeakstoYou project,
the Government of Dubai Media Office
displayed the #DubaiSpeakstoYou proj-
ect, which is launched by Vice Presi-
dent, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai,
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin
Rashid Al Maktoum, the inaugural proj-
ect of the Government of Dubai Media
Office’s initiative, Brand Dubai.
Brand Dubai is tasked with proposing
a range of projects and events that will
highlight the look, feel and the unique
character of Dubai as one of the world’s
most developed, fastest-growing and
culturally diverse cities. This initiative
will add an artistic print to the develop-
mental and urban projects in Dubai.
This project seeks to promote Dubai’s
mission to the world; it focuses on the
aesthetic and artistic appeal in Dubai
and reflects interaction between real
estate developers and artists. Dubai is
not merely giant concrete buildings and
projects as it also has many dimensions
of beauty, art and culture.
The project comes to translate His High-
ness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al
Mkatoum’s belief in art and its mission
as HH adopts ambitious projects to real-
ize dreams. He wants to make the city
into an open air museum.
The video shows some main features
and landmarks of major cities world-
wide, highlighting that each city has its
own feel that is expressed in its unique
colors and character. These features
give it a unique identity and heard voice.
A video titled “Google Glass” displays
the awe-inspiring Google Glass. It is
no longer science fiction; it is reality.
Google Glass is one of the most inno-
vative, attention grasping and even con-
troversial technologies recently. It trans-
fers user experience to a whole new
level to surpass traditional devices such
as laptops, mobile phones and tablets.
Google Glass puts the world within your
sight, however, there is an ethical con-
troversy going on whether it breaches
privacy or that it is somewhat strange.
Google Glass includes a camera,
screen, touchpad, battery and speaker
all integrated inside the case and frame,
so that the screen is within the user’s
vision scope. Users can use Google
Glass for shooting videos, taking pic-
tures, searching, translating and other
tasks with the lowest effort.
The screen was designed not to impede
the vision scope. According to Google,
the Google Glass screen acts as 25
inch a high-resolution screen you can
see 8 feet away. It displays all what you
need to see from data, photos, movies
and such.
The built-in camera shoots what you ac-
tually see from your own perspective. It
enables you to take pictures or videos of
what you see. It can be controlled by giv-
ing it voice orders or through the touch-
pad found on one of the glass arms or
through a shortcut gesture understood
and executed by the glass.
