The conference also urged for cre-
ating a GCC website for linking data
from all GCC countries according to
the designed policy. The website will
contain various subjects including ICT
indicators.
The conferees additionally recom-
mended developing a cooperative
mechanism to limit attacks on web-
sites in GCC countries, develop-
ing a plan to address security risks
that may associate the application
of BYOD technology, taking into ac
-
count the committee’s recommenda-
tions to assess projects submitted to
the GCC eGovernment awards, and
provide participants with reports on
the strengths and weaknesses of the
projects submitted.
Children Educational Program
It was also recommended to add a
category for the best cooperative
projects (across GCC) and develop
an educational programme for GCC
children on eGovernment and knowl-
edge based society including the cre-
ation of a children portal.
Recommendations included devel-
opment of a unified IT curriculum for
schools in the GCC; supporting Ara-
bic digital content through developing
a reference guide for writing in gov-
ernment websites - American project
plainlanguage.gov can be considered
for reference; cooperating to develop
and adopt the eAuthentication sys-
tem and regulatory frameworks in the
GCC countries and adopting a mech-
anism for regulating and developing
common services such as ePayment.

on people with special needs while
formulating and implementing gov-
ernment Strategies; implementing
GCC education programmes to raise
the level of adoption of eServices
