he 3rd GCC eGovernment Award, Conference and Exhibition
has recommended establishing an eGovernment GCC acad-
emy for developing competencies and supplying the job market
with local skills.  Recommendations also included establishing a
shared knowledge platform and a mechanism to limit attacks on
websites in GCC countries.
The 25 recommendation points in-
clude building on recommendations
from the two previous conferences,
continuing implementing the exist-
ing terms and entrusting follow up on
implementing the conference recom-
mendations to a unit that operates
within the GCC Secretariat General.
Recommendations also included
completing the construction and de-
velopment of a unified GCC network
to serve the GCC integration visions,
developing standardized benchmarks
to control quality of websites and ma
-
turity of eServices and smart services
that will be shared with government
departments in GCC, and developing
programmes and plans to help those
with special needs by enabling them
to use eServices.

The conference called for establish-
ing a unified Gulf knowledge platform
that facilitates sharing of knowledge,
resources, and success stories, con-
sidering the European experience

American experience in the Howto.
