Sharjah’s Environment and Pro-
tected Areas Authority (EPPA) has
announced launching the Ghaf Tree
smart app. The first of its kind app
enables users to learn about the
Ghaf tree and its environmental and
national importance in the UAE.
The announcement was made by
Hana Saif Al Suwaidi, Director Gen-
eral of EPAA, in a press conference
to launch the 7th Awareness Cam-
paign for visitors to wilderness areas
in Sharjah.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry
in Saudi Arabia has agreed with Toyota
Motor Corp and its local agent to recall
more than 400,000 cars in order to install
the Break Override System.
The Ministry announced an awareness
campaign for drivers in the Kingdom to
explain the effective use of the system
and how to deal with inability to control
or stop their vehicles. Saudi Arabia is
the second country, after the US, to take
such measure while Canada is consider-
ing similar actions
The Ministry had several meetings over
two months with both TMC and its lo-
cal agent to determine the scope of this
mandatory recall and mechanism of im-
plementing the Break Override System.

Apple’s ex-CEO continues to top the list of the Best
Performing CEOs in the world.
Harvard Business Review magazine has released,
earlier in 2013, a study on the 100 best-performing
CEO’s in the world. CEO.com used the study to
find out the things these CEO’s have in common.
