GOOGLE have updated their translation
app that is used on smartphones and tab-
lets to include a new feature enabling it to
translate signs from any language into the
user’s language.
The new feature provides a special service
for travel enthusiasts, where they will not
need an interpreter to understand signs that
are written with local language of the coun-
tries they are visiting.
With the new feature, travelers can also
translate food menus. All what users need
to do is to take a picture of the expression
and the app will instantly translate it into the
user’s language.

Obama
calls for tougher
cybersecurity measures
President Barack Obama asked Con-
gress to pass tough new legislation
to bolster cybersecurity that would
promote sharing of information about
breaches between the government and
companies.
Obama’s proposal would criminalize
the overseas sale of stolen credit cards
and bank account numbers and expand
law enforcement’s ability to prosecute
hackers by going after those who sell
so-called botnets that are used to send
spam and conduct denial of service at-
tacks.
It would also give lawmakers and courts
power to deter the sale of spyware and
to shut down botnets.
The issue has received fresh attention
after the hacking of Sony Pictures En-
tertainment that the FBI has blamed on
North Korea.
