His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin
Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and
Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of
Dubai has set a great example of close
ties between leaders and the people when
he attended the wedding of a government
employee who sent him an invitation. The
gesture carries noble meanings.
Sheikh Mohammed attended the wedding
in response to an invitation sent to him
by email by the bride, Mouza. Her invita-
tion came as a response to the letter sent
earlier by His Highness to all the federal
government employees by the new year,
where he urged them to double their ef-
forts in the new year.
Sheikh Mohammed attended the wedding
of Faisal Ali al-Dhahiri and was present
at the men’s section at Al Haili Wedding
Hall in Al Ain after he received an invitation
from Mouza Said al-Hanawi, an employee
at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abu
Dhabi. She sent the invitation by email re-
questing he blesses their wedding by his
personal presence.
His Highness’ attendance of the wedding
and his response to the employee’s invi-
tation shows the strong ties between the
leadership and the people. It also shows
the leadership’s keenness and efforts to
make the people happy, the people who
similarly appreciate such efforts and show
total loyalty.
The General Directorate of Residency and
Foreigners Affairs-Dubai (GDFRA-Dubai)
has turned its headquarters premises into
an open museum. The initiative came as
a response to the call of His Highness
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Mak-
toum, Vice-President and Prime Minister
of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai to turn
Dubai into an open museum.
In a short video on its official YouTube
channel, the GDFRA displayed the large
painting on the façade of its premises.
The painting shows the profound human
dimension responsible for an array of dis-
tinguished accomplishments in Dubai.
The GDFRA is keen on encouraging art-
ists and creative people from Emirati citi-
zens and expats to show their creative
works of art with a modern twist, thus en-
abling artists and painters to combine the
past and the present using contemporary
and modern artistic methods and trends.
