Editorial Team
At
a very early stage, the UAE had understood the primacy of se-
curing confidentiality of information, communication networks and
information systems. With the evolution of technology and means of data
storage and exchange over the web, paying attention to information secu-
rity has become an utmost priority.
To this end, the UAE strived to provide the necessary tools and techniques
to protect data against internal and external threats, laid down the criteria
and procedures that may help prevent access to information by unauthor-
ized people and issued regulations that protect the rights.
This edition contains a report on Law No. 11 for 2014 issued by His High-
ness Sheik Mohammed bin RashidAl Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime
