UAE mGovernment has announced the
launch of the 2015 mGovernment Train-
ing Programme. In 2014, the mGovern-
ment has successfully completed the
training of 1,150 government employees
and 250 university students and job seek-
ers from various emirates in the UAE. The
programme is a continuation of the UAE
government’s efforts. It targets govern-
ment employees, university students and
job seekers and aims to develop their
competencies.
The training programme consists of a
variety of events and training courses,
designed specifically to meet the needs
of all parties across the UAE related to
the mGovernment initiative. The training
courses and events assist subscribers by
providing a new level of understanding
that promotes their ability to access
high-value smart services.
The training programme will host
a diverse array of seminars,
lectures and interactive pre-
sentations that focus on man-
agement, IT and smart apps
security and development topics.
The training programme aims to spread
the culture of smart transformation across
the UAE, as it promotes expertise in na-
tional talent to correspond with the ongo-
ing changes. It drives the enhancement
of knowledge of ICT professionals in gov-
ernment bodies, sharpens the skills of
university students and raises their level
of awareness on the shift towards a smart
government.
HE Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, director
general of the UAE mGovernment said
the programme is keen to have individu-
als from all the emirates participate by
showcasing smart services, information
technology, security applications and de-
velopment.
He said it is necessary to involve the na-
tion’s youth and upcoming workforce in
the mGovernment training programme,
as they are an integral component of the
UAE’s transition into a smart nation. We
believe that this era’s job seekers and uni-
versity students need to constantly stay
updated and hold the necessary qualifica-
tions, and develop their skills regardless
of which emirate they reside in.
The mGovernment training will be held
through distance-learning techniques, so
that participants from government em-
ployees and university students through-
out the UAE can complete courses at their
convenience. This is to enable the op-
portunity for everyone.
Participants may take advantage of
the content of these courses, us-
ing their personal computers and
smart devices, such as their tab-
lets and smartphones.
