Dubai Calendar:
Listing of Dubai’s events
The Dubai Calendar app launched by the
Dubai Events Security Committee and
featuring Arabic and English versions on
iOS and Android is an official listing and
guide of the events, shows and festivals
in Dubai.
The app includes a map that allows users
to find their location and destination. The
map offers a complete and detailed list of
information on the events secured by the
Events Security Committee.
The home menu includes calendar op-
tions such as the monthly calendar, con-
tact emergency, overview of the commit-
tee, archives, notifications, contact the
committee and feedback. The app also
includes many other useful features such
as location of events and how to reach it
through an integrated GPS. It also locates
parking and has a photo and video gallery
of each event. More app features, uses,
contact numbers, ATM locations and po-
lice offices can be found on the app.
The app is particularly important because
it helps in advance planning for attending
an event even before leaving the house.
It shows entry and exit roads to the event
in a secure and safe way. It also shows
traffic status to the event. It gives users an
overview of the events held in Dubai such
as the Global Village, NYE celebrations
areas, sports events, races and many oth-
er local and international events.

Launch of electronic vehicle registration on
UAE MOI
The Ministry of Interior (MOI) launched the
electronic vehicle registration across the en-
tire UAE as of beginning of this year.
Police officers in the UAE were trained by a
technical team on how to use the electronic
vehicle registration, available through the
Ministry’s smart applications, UAE MOI, and
patrols’ ‘UTS’ federal traffic and registration
system applications.
Work is underway at the Ministry in order
to provide all legal terms about e-transfor-
mation on all Ministry’s documents relating
to traffic throughout the UAE. The Ministry
seeks to provide all of the requirements for
the federal government’s smart transforma-
tion, and to allow the public to have access to
the services anytime and anywhere without
needing to physically go to a service center.
Users of the Ministry’s applications, UAE
MOI, can now view all of the vehicles that
have been registered under their name by
accessing the Traffic Section, then Regis-
tered Vehicles. By clicking on the plate num-
ber, the application allows the user to view an
electronic copy of the registration - which is
considered a copy of the manual registration
card - and can be presented when needed.
Policemen are provided with “UTS”-backed
applications on their smartphones, which
help provide electronic registrations, driver’s
licenses, and all the information needed to
facilitate patrolling procedures.
The Ministry urged the public to call for help
or inquiry on the MOI’s service center num-
ber 8005000 during business hours, or to
contact the technical support team any time
by email:
. The MOI’s
services cover all the emirates and the Min-
istry intends to provide additional services to
keep pace with the latest trends and fulfill the
vision of the m-Government.
