Emirates global hub for roads

​To get the United Arab Emirates for first place globally in the quality of roads in the Global Competitiveness Report issued by the World Economic Forum, a high-level certificate, on the achievements of the state in a vital sector gave him the leadership top priority, being a crossing bridge for the overall development, where is the federal roads network implemented by the State of the best road networks in the world and the internal road network is characterized in different emirates world-class and high quality.

Based on the ministry's keenness on applying the highest standards of safety on the main roads, it has committed major new road projects all conduct an audit of safety on the roads which is to assess the major road projects in each of the preliminary design and final design stage and before and after the opening of the project year.

In light of this, the ministry has recently announced that in collaboration with the International Federation of the ways the organization, for the formation of a global hub means  to be the United Arab Emirates headquartered to attract all the local and global federal agencies that deal with roads sector.

And it contributes to the formation of the center to make the UAE a nucleus for research and innovations related to road and safety, as the center aims to promote the principle of complementarily and joint action in the field of specialization, and promote the concept of road network safety to reach 0% and mortality by the year 2030 and the center will see the light early next year.

Where the ministry is working to keep up with the global best practices in the areas of implementation of road projects, in order to bring about a qualitative and a real shift in the relevant development system work the ministry, the ministry has taken the initiative to launch a number of initiatives to ensure the implementation of roads projects environmentally friendly, designed by which to minimize the negative impacts resulting from the implementation of projects on the environment and society, which is one of the most important priorities
