Louvre Abu Dhabi is Architectural Masterpiece

The creation of this museum is in line with the UAE's efforts to promote rapprochement between the people and embodies the UAE's long-established vision that the progress of nations and the development of their civilization is based on cultural diversity and tolerance, encouraging dialogue and openness to others. It is the first museum of its kind in the Arab world with its rare historical and cultural treasures and its unique architectural masterpiece.

This architectural design, designed by the French architect Jean Nouvel, inspired by Arab architecture in its design, came in the shape of a huge 180-meter dome studded with stars, through which the sun enters through openings reminiscent of the flow of light from the cogged leaves of palm trees.

Moreover, its architectural design came in the form of a mini-city resembling an arbella over the sea, which includes a total of 55 white buildings inspired by low-rise home designs in traditional Arabic architecture.

It is a vital bridge for human and cultural communication between the East and West and on this occasion, I congratulate the wise leadership led by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, And His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and their brothers, Rulers of the UAE and the people of the UAE, on this cultural monument and the great international achievement.
