CEO of Oman’s IT Authority
to mGovernment magazine:
%70
of primary
services in
Oman
are eTransformed
T
he Sultanate of Oman has recently joined the government eTransfor-
mation trend seeking to provide all services to its citizens through
the digital world and thus achieve well-being. During the past two years,
Oman managed to eTransform 70 percent of its primary government
services following the integration mechanism for the purpose.
In an interview with mMagazine, Dr. Sa-

the delay in Oman’s eTransformation
didn’t hinder the provision of integrated
services that meet Omanis’ aspirations.
Al Ruzaiqi underlined that mTransforma

this world a bit late. However, despite the
recency of eTransformation, the Omani
government was determined to provide
integrated eGovernment services that of-
fer well-being and comfort to Omanis. We
managed to transform 50-70 percent of
government services to eServices.
A clear evidence of what has been
achieved in terms of eTransformation,
is the lion’s share acquired by Oman’s
government in the 3rd edition of the GCC
eGovernment Awards, hosted recently
by Dubai. We have reaped 7 out of 14
awards.

Despite the ongoing growth in the num-
ber of online users, eServices are still
