Security experts revealed an Android serious
security breach that allows an attacker to re-
trieve cookies and page information (such as
entered passwords) from a normally trusted
domain by using a carefully crafted webpage
-- leading to a critical security breach.
All devices not running Android 4.4 Kitkat
stand to be affected. About 75% of all An-
droid devices are at risk of falling victim to
this major security vulnerability
To exploit the flaw, attacker can trick users to
click a malicious link from a vulnerable Web-
View application and which will trigger a mali-
cious JavaScript command contained on the
same webpage.
SOPHOS, a firm specialized in producing an-
tivirus and encryption products, determined
that AOSP browsers shipped with versions of
the operating system prior to Android 4.4 are

Facebook enabled the “Like” button on
mobile applications. It enabled Android
and iOS developers to put a Like button
in their mobile apps.
Facebook said that the Like button
works automatically with user’s Face-
book registered account on the official
Facebook app. Therefore, users do not
need to enter their Facebook login data
when clicking on the Like button on
apps.
Facebook also plans to have more
control on research studies and experi-
ments involving its users after hundreds
of thousands of Facebook users were
stunned to learn the social network
had been manipulating their emotional
state without their knowledge as part of
a massive secret psychological experi-
ment.
A study revealed that Facebook inten-
tionally manipulated the news feeds of
almost 700,000 users to try and affect
their emotional state from happiness to
sadness.
Users called the experiment unethical
and a breach of user privacy.
Facebook now lets you put a
Like
button in your smartphone app
