The MoI invites the public to share their opinion about the road safety campaign over summer.
The objective of consultation:
The MoI aims through this consultation to compile opinions and suggestions about the awareness campaign on the importance of regularly servicing cars and checking types, avoiding excessive loading of the car in summer, respecting recommendations and guidelines to ensure the safety of all road users.
Expected decisions as a result of consultation:
Launch a road safety
awareness campaign through the Federal Traffic Council in cooperation and
coordination with the MoI coordination division, the Traffic and Patrols
departments in the UAE, and other stakeholders working on traffic safety from
both the public and private sectors, and all stakeholders so that precautions
for car safety are taken, there is regular servicing of cars and tires are
checked for their safety.
The launch of a campaign titled "summer without accidents" as part of the traffic sector initiative to improve safety on roads, and achieve the highest levels of road safety and security to reach a rate of 3 deaths for every 100 thousand inhabitant. The campaign seeks to enhance social unity and working together to reduce traffic accidents.
The campaign is part of the MoI strategy to secure roads, and is in line with the police leadership directives to raise public awareness, especially among motorists, about the damages caused by accidents, and subsequent deaths, injuries ad well as material and moral losses.
