Activating the role of the Parent in Enhancing the Quality of Life of the Student

Since the parent is the basic partner in developing the education system, the MoE is launching a questionnaire entitled "Activating the Role of the Parent in Enhancing the Quality of Life of the Student." It aims to engage the parents in the decision making process by considering their views and aspirations regarding the improvement of the quality of life of the students.

The Ministry of Education (MoE) is always seeking to adopt significant initiatives to make education in the UAE an inspiring, global experience. In addition to the academic aspect that includes the curricula and various tools that enrich the students scientifically, it is important to make schools a place that polishes the students' characters and build their positive life skills. This will eventually has a positive effect on the education system and achieve the desired objectives.

 

 

Objective:

 

To collect applicable suggestions and implement them to provide the students with a high-quality life, which meets the expectations of their parents and the actual needs of their children to have a balanced, quality life.

 


Outcome

Outcome: 

First, we thank you for your active participation in the survey, as the Ministry of Education has worked continuously to adopt a number of initiatives and programs that contribute to developing the quality of life and well-being of the student in all academic and professional aspects, which affects the educational system positively and helps achieve the desired goals.

 

Academic Aspect:

 

The Ministry of Education launched the INTILAQA University Preparation Program, a guiding program that aims to prepare a generation of students to join the best local and international universities, in various disciplines to meet the needs of the labor market and support priority sectors of work in accordance with the strategy of the UAE.

Professional Aspect:

 

- The Ministry of Education launched the Emirates Professional Inclinations Scale, which measures students' professional inclinations and drafts a report that identifies the top three professional inclinations for them to facilitate the decision-making process to choose the university path that suits their preferences and the future market needs.

- It has also prepared a vocational training program, which trains students professionally, whereby the trainees gain practical experience to acquire various skills in the real or virtual work environment, to enrich their knowledge and raise their professional awareness. In addition to preparing them for early entry into the labor market, and reducing the gap between education and the labor market, the program aims to provide career guidance through the practical training portal, which provides exclusive high-quality training opportunities provided by reputable companies from the private, governmental and semi-governmental sectors.

 

Quality Of Life:


The Ministry of Education is keen to achieve psychological and social harmony to help students acquire a balanced personality by activating a number of initiatives to achieve a proper quality of life for students, as follows:

 

- World Mental Health Day:

The awareness guide for promoting mental health has been circulated to all public and private schools. It is designed to suit different age groups according to their developmental needs, thus contributing to the promotion of mental health.

- International Day against Cyberbullying

A guide to cyberbullying in the online gaming environment has been prepared and circulated, as a specialized guide for workers in the field of social care, psychological and special needs, and child protection based on a scientific study.

- The Ministry of Education is also working on designing the National Framework for Guidance and Quality of Life, a system for guidance and quality of life in the United Arab Emirates for all members of society, from early childhood to students in public and private education through to higher education, to meet their personal psychological, social, academic and professional needs and develop autonomy and global competitiveness. It also includes several axes, such as academic advising, career counseling, and counseling for well-being and quality of life.
