The United Arab Emirates University participates in the country's celebrations of Emirati women on August 28 of each year. The slogan of this year is "Inspiring Reality .. Sustainable Future". The UAE University is proud of its female graduates, who played a pioneering role in various fields, as well as an academic staff of 69 national female lecturers, professors, and faculty members, who make influential efforts in the field of scientific research and academic work.

Dr. Naeema Al Hosani, Chair of the Department of Geography & Urban Planning, said, "The 28th of August comes every year to enhance the efforts of women's development, enable their capabilities, and to appreciate the vision and strategy of the wise leadership that paid attention exceeding expectations to supporting and empowering Emirati women, on the same date of the establishment of the General Women's Union of the United Arab Emirates in 1975, in honoring the Emirati woman. The founder, the late Sheikh Zayed, may God rest his soul, harnessed all possibilities to enable women to join the process of education, believing in their capabilities and sacrifices. Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak (Mother of the UAE) - may God protect her - Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood and Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, has launched many initiatives to enhance the position of women at the social, economic and political levels. She added, "On August 28, 2015, the (Emirati Women's Day) was announced for the first time by the pioneer of women's progress (Mother of the UAE), who supports women's rights and advances their positions. In 1976, Sheikh Zayed - may God rest his soul - established the UAEU in Al Ain to be a destination for knowledge from all emirates, receiving and supporting female students by opening the horizons of higher education for them, in order to achieve the mission of empowering women. The UAEU graduates groups for institutions in the field of various sciences. The UAEU proudly offers today specializations in the field of innovation and space qualifying them to work at different ministries and diplomatic corps, thanks to God, and our distinguished leadership strategy that is looking forward to the future, through launching the slogan (inspiring reality) in 2022 for the country's celebration of Emirati
