On International Women's Day, we congratulate Emirati women for the considerable accomplishments they have made as they set on a journey for the coming fifty years. They have consolidated their status as they effectively contribute to the urban development witnessing across the country. 

Since the establishment of the UAE Union, the Emirati women have been granted infinite care from the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Founding Father of UAE, may Allah rest his soul in peace, who was keenly interested in empowering women for being key partners side by side with men in the development and prosperity of the UAE. 

Today, our UAE wise leadership has continued ever since to cement this approach; particularly the Emirati women are embraced with special care from Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, the Mother of the Nation.
