No one expected the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic or any other similar crisis before its occurrence, which disrupted work methods, as well as  changing learning and training tools worldwide.

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources has been proactive, as usual, aspired by the UAE’s dynamism, and its relentless endeavors to shape the future, and automate the systems and services provided to  customers, to ensure business continuity and provide services in accordance with the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

A few months before the pandemic, specifically at the end of 2019, the Authority launched the e-learning Portal in the Federal Government “Al Mawrid,” which is a smart platform that provides electronic training to more than 100,000 Federal Government employees. Al Mawrid succeeded in a short period of time, in attracting the best e-training pioneers, universities and educational institutions, think tanks and companies, and offer hundreds of quality training programs.

Statistics showed that 82,000 Federal Government employees have benefited from Al Mawrid Portal, since its launch until the end of 2020. It has become the first official platform for training and e-learning at the Federal Government level, in developing the behavioral and specialized skills of employees, and providing them with electronic programs and courses that take into account their training needs, enhancing their capabilities, and enabling them to keep pace with the labor market changes.

The number of training hours offered, reaching more than 105 thousand, reflects the tremendous success achieved by Al Mawrid Platform. In addition,  42 thousand electronic participation certificates were issued via the portal, and 750 specialized and general training courses and workshops are available on the portal, in various fields, for the employees of Ministries and Federal entities to benefit from, each in their specialization.

The e-learning Portal in the Federal Government is an advanced smart training platform that serves Federal Government employees, develops their behavioral and specialized skills, and provides them with programs and general and specialized electronic training courses, free of charge and others at preferential prices, that take into account their needs, and enhance their capabilities, and their ability to keep pace with the requirements of the labor market, in light of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
