In light of the health crisis that the world is experiencing nowadays to confront the spread of Covid-19 and its ramifications on normal life patterns and businesses, the UAE has taken several precautionary measures. With the speed and flexibility with which they were implemented, the aim is to mitigate the effects of the pandemic’s spread. The UAE has adopted an integrated strategy that proved its success in preserving the performance of all sectors, while protecting community’s health and safety.

By relying on the country’s advanced infrastructure, supported by the latest technological innovations in accordance with the highest international standards, the UAE has maintained the flow and efficiency of work in various entities and sectors. The nation’s pioneering model of preparing the technical and knowledge structure has proven its efficiency in applying a remote working system and in continuing to do what is required for society. Furthermore, the solidarity of the efforts of officials, leaders, work teams and employees across government entities ensured the efficiency and continuity of government work.

For its part, the Ministry of Finance has successfully implemented a remote work system. Thanks to its advanced digital infrastructure, which enabled the ministry to manage businesses and provide services to individuals, as well as government and private sectors efficiently. This is a practical application of the UAE Vision 2021 objectives, as well as the federal government’s strategy and initiatives aimed at turning the government to a smart one. The aforementioned initiatives are also aimed at providing smart e-services, which are available at all times and in line with best international practices. Furthermore, MoF has enabled customers to easily access all its services without leaving their homes or offices. Services are provided through the ministry's website and smartphone application, in keeping with the precautionary measures to preserve the health of society members.

We will continue to upgrade our efforts for remote work, and improve the digital services we provide to customers. This is important as the safety of our employees and all those dealing with the ministry is paramount. We have also expanded our communication channels through the website and the smartphone application, which provide access to the ministry's services 24/7. This is in line with MoF’s position as a leading ministry in financial management, and in order to meet the needs of all customers from government and private sectors, circumstances notwithstanding.
