The UAE Government launched the Emirates Blockchain Strategy 2021 that aims to capitalise on the blockchain technology to facilitate people’s lifestyle and boost their happiness. In line with the national vision and strategies, the HCT has developed plans for the implementation of initiatives and projects based on the Blockchain technology in order to support its digital transformation journey. Hence, the HCT established partnerships with several leading international institutions, like IBM and Dell EMC, in cooperation with the UAE Ministry of Artificial Intelligence.

The Higher Colleges of Technology has already embarked on developing blockchain solutions to support institutional operations and administrative divisions in order to accelerate performance, increase efficiency at a lower cost and enhance information security. Through its collaboration with IBM, the HCT will focus on actively engaging its students and faculty in projects and activities based on advanced technologies, enabling them to invest in their projects and develop futuristic ideas.
