Volunteer work was launched in alignment with the vision of the UAE’s wise leadership, and has become a societal culture that empowers individuals to participate in volunteer work for the love of others inside and outside the UAE. In the footsteps of Zayed,  the Higher Colleges of Technology, requires all its students since the academic year 2017/2018 to complete 100 hours of volunteer work and community service as a mandatory requirement for graduation.

HCT students have completed around one million and two hundred thousand hours of volunteer work, and with this spirit of giving, institutions and events have achieved success and individuals and families were made happy locally and internationally. Volunteer work and community service have important benefits for humans and their self-development, in addition to the serving the community in which they live. Youth community service also reflects the advanced state of social development around the world and supports the world’s economies.
