The world is at a stage different from the previous stages, where the concept of cooperation and coordination of efforts among the various economies of the world is the prevailing trend in various economic entities around the world.

In light of its openness policy, the UAE is linked to economic, trade and investment relations with most countries of the world on various continents. These relations are based on common benefit and interests.

The UAE is steadily expanding its relations and looking for new opportunities for cooperation that focuses on the important sectors of the country that support sustainable development and serve the UAE strategic orientation by gradually transforming into a knowledge-based economy that relies on creativity, innovation, and early readiness for the post-oil phase by promoting economic diversification.

The Ministry of Economy undertakes the task of strengthening trade, economic & investment relations, and finding partnerships that serve the development interests of the UAE and enhance the volume of trade exchange with the various countries of the world through holding and attending meetings and events organized both inside and outside the country.

The Ministry focuses on strengthening cooperation with various countries in sectors and areas that are considered a priority on the UAE's development agenda, most notably industry, knowledge economy, artificial intelligence, information technology, SMEs and other important sectors, with a focus on the possibility of developing new partnerships in this regard.

Our meetings with various international partners provide an opportunity to highlight the attractive investment climate in the country, which is supported by a modern integrated economic legislation system, the latest infrastructure in the region and the world, facilities and incentives, and dozens of free and specialized zones and industrial cities. In addition to its strategic location, which constitutes a gateway to a huge consumer market with a population of over two billion people, the UAE encourages investors and businessmen from all over the world to seize the lucrative investment opportunities available in the country's markets and benefit from the incentives and facilities available here.

The Ministry of Economy is keen to explore opportunities in the various economic, trade and investment sectors through activating mechanisms of joint action and unifying efforts. The Ministry works hard to enhance cooperation with the outside world. As part of these efforts, the Ministry seeks to activate existing joint committees with many countries and establish new committees with Arab and foreign countries with which we have economic and commercial interests. For example, in March 2019, two joint committees with Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan held meetings. In addition, the UAE-Germany Joint Committee held a meeting, which focused on strengthening cooperation in future industries. Moreover, the second session of the Joint Economic Committee with Hungary was held, during which the two countries agreed on mechanisms for the transfer and settlement of technology and advanced sciences. Furthermore, the Ministry also organized the second session of the UAE-Ethiopia Business Forum in March and arranged the participation of 20 Emirati companies at the Ethiopia International Trade Fair.

The Ministry of Economy will continue to promote its approach of economic openness to meet the highest economic interests of the UAE and to consolidate the status of our national economy on the map of the best global economies. The Ministry's efforts are guided by the guidance of our wise leadership to achieve the best interests of our loyal people.
