It is imperative to align our educational strategies and approaches with the dynamic demands of the ever-evolving job market, guiding our students to enroll in the best local and international universities and assist them in selecting promising academic paths. Recognizing this, the Ministry of Education has proactively launched the University Readiness Program "Intilaqa". This comprehensive program is strategically designed to foster students' skills development and identify their priorities, targeting Grade 9-12 public and private students and applied technology high schools.
Setting priorities and formulating long-term plans is crucial in today's swiftly evolving world. The UAE has developed comprehensive plans and strategies in line with its visionary goal for the next fifty years. Accordingly, the Ministry of Education has been steadfast in its commitment to shape a future that aligns with the country's overarching vision. Hence, "Intilaqa" emerges as a tool to support the students and empower them to make informed decisions for their educational future.
"Intilaqa" is not only a theoretical program that presents data and information; it is an interactive program that leverages the latest educational methodologies to deliver personalized academic counseling based on students' interests and capabilities. The program equips students with the essential skills and competencies required for admission to the most prestigious universities locally and globally, ensuring their eligibility for universities in top countries.
"Intilaqa" plays a key role in developing exceptional and competitive national talents who embrace the culture of life-long learning cultivated in our schools. By identifying students' capacities and aspirations and keeping pace with the educational landscape and the job market, the program will guide students towards top educational institutions, fostering a continuous learning journey. This approach will empower them to innovate, create, and contribute significantly and hold a primary goal to achieve academic and professional excellence and success.
"Intilaqa" is designed as a two-stage program comprising the Qualifying and the Empowerment stages. Targeting students in Grades 9-12, the Qualifying stage focuses on equipping students with the necessary prerequisites and skills for applying to universities. The Empowerment stage, which targets Grade 12 students, focuses on empowering them to apply to leading international and local universities, ensuring their continued excellence throughout their higher education journey.
Additionally, the program offers "Intilaqa Elite Track" - a specialized track for distinguished Grade 11 students aspiring to pursue higher education at the top international universities. Over two years, until the completion of Grade 12, the program provides personalized counseling, guidance on university applications, interpersonal and leadership skill development, and a comprehensive platform for university readiness. With the overarching aim of identifying ambitious young Emiratis, this track endeavors to integrate their achievements and contributions into the progressive vision of the UAE.
