As part of its commitment to educating athletes about the risks of doping and the need to combat it, the General Authority of Sports (GAS) launched the national anti-doping campaign titled 'Say No to Doping,' in collaboration with the UAE National Anti-Doping and the Dubai Police. The program was launched in an effort to promote a competitive and clean sports environment, while also preserving the ethics and values of sports and acknowledging the role it plays in elevating the quality of life.

The UAE has consistently excelled in various fields and its prominence in the sports industry has driven several initiatives in the sector, including the fight against doping in sports. The country actively hosts numerous international events and conferences that address and discuss international efforts to combat doping. 

The 'Say No to Doping' campaign was designed to promote a culture of awareness among the general public and athletes, regarding the adverse effects of doping on health and its role in undermining integrity in the sports sector. This includes promoting ethical and fair practices in sports, as well as working towards establishing a competitive and sustainable sports ecosystem in the region. Furthermore, this is in line with the vision of the wise leadership, as well as the long-term goals of the Authority, its strategic partners, and other key stakeholders, making it a top priority in the region.

The use of doping products can lead to various health issues, and serious social and psychological damage that can negatively affect the sports community. Side effects of doping can also result in serious conditions that can permanently impact players' health and performance. Authorities must therefore pay great attention to raising awareness on the hazards associated with doping, in order to educate athletes and all segments of the society, thereby enhancing security and safety in the sports sector.
