“Morning”,
an all-in-one smart app
Real-time translation for
Skype
calls
from Microsoft
Microsoft has demonstrated a test ver-
sion of a real-time, spoken-word
translation service for
Skype calls, the first
time the world’s
largest
software
company
has
demonstrated the
breakthrough technol-
ogy publicly in the United
States.
“Skype Translator, as it is currently called,
allows speakers in different languages
to hear the other’s words spoken in their
own language,” according to Chief Execu-
tive Officer Satya Nadella.
“It is going to make
sure you can
communicate
with anybody
without lan-
guage barri-
ers,” said Nadel-
la.
Nadella described the new
technology as “magical,” but said the task
now was turn it into a real product rather
than just a research project.
After you wake up in the morning, break-
fast is the time when you check your
email and schedule for the day, check
weather, read the latest news and many
other routine stuff. But that requires hop-
ping back and forth between different
apps on your phone and tabs.
This is where ‘Morning’ app can help
make your morning routine easier! Morn-
ing, for iOS, consolidates all of these
things into one app and keeps them or-
ganized in one glanceable screen, which
eliminates the need to switch between
apps early in the morning.
According to Tech Hive website, the
app consists of different panels of must-
know info: the date and time, reminders,
the weather forecast, a newsreader, cal-
endar, daily metro info, user’s current
commute time, among other.
