The “MyID “ service to access government
services in Dubai through one electronic log,
is increasingly sought by businesses and in-
dividuals to register in it. Registration can be
done through ten electronic devices “kiosks”
provided by Dubai Smart Government in sev
-
eral locations.
The government provided four devices for
customers of the Department of Economic
Development in its branches in Dubai Mall,
Al Twar Centre and the Business Village. It
also provided three devices to customers of
Emirates Identity Authority in its branches in
Rashidiya, Karama and Barsha,
one device in Aswaaq branch
in Mizhar and one device at the

quarters at the Ruler’s Court.
The first phase of MyID was
launched by Dubai Smart Govern
-
ment in cooperation with EIDA during Gitex
2013, to enable customers of government
entities to have easy and unified access to
all services and communicate with them via
smartphones or the Internet through a single
sign-on related to MyID.
The Dubai Education Zone (EZone) devel
-
oped a smart application to track the exam
paper with the aim to facilitate the marking
and grading process. The exam paper track-
ing will be the first phase of the initiative.
The initiative includes several phases, the
first of which is to digitalize the accomplish
-
ment index boards of the committees oper-
ating in the exam central committee. This
comes in line with the EZone’s keenness on
implementing the instructions of His High
-
ness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Mak
-
toum, UAE Vice President and Prime Min
-
ister and Ruler of Dubai, to transform into a
smart government.
The EZone launched a smart application
for exams that allows its administration and
central committee to track the marking and
grading process and the location of the
exam paper in real time. The indexes will be
shown via smartphones. The other phases
of the project will include a new application
to receive e-complaints from students and
parents.
