The world has sided with logic and facts
Dubai Wins Expo 2020
As soon as it was announced that Dubai will host Expo 2020, the
micro-blogging site, Twitter, flared with UAE flag colors.
Winning was big news but what was remarkable was the high
percentage of the vote Dubai received. The world sided with the
logic, the facts on the ground and the assurances of men who al-
ways keep their promises. Among the factors that helped Dubai
win were good planning, utilizing all potentials and UAE’s reputa-
tion. Dubai won because we were – as always - united together.
The joy that spread across the emirates reflected the loyalty of
the people who are blessed with a wise leadership who have made
them the happiest in the world.

Maktoum, Vice President and Prime
Minister of the UAE and Ruler of
Dubai tweeted, “We congratulate the
nation, our president & all people in
UAE on Dubai’s winning bid to host
the greatest exhibition in the world
Expo2020.”
He added, “To the world: we re-
new our promise to astonish you at
Expo2020. Dubai will bring to life our
vision: Connecting Minds, Creating
the Future.”

win the bid to host Expo2020, and

to the best Expo in the history of the
exhibition.”
HH Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nu-
aimi, Crown Prince of Ajman tweeted
his congratulations in verses of po-
etry (in Arabic) saying that “Mabrook”
is sung by all hearts in the UAE for
Dubai and specially for Sheikh Mo-
hammed bin Rashid.
HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Min-
ister of Foreign Affairs congratulated
the UAE through Twitter. William
Hague, the British Foreign Secretary
also congratulated Dubai through
Twitter saying “Congratulations to
Dubai for winning Expo2020. We
know you will do a fantastic job. Ma-
bruk!”
Canada’s Foreign Minister, John
Baird congratulated Sheikh Abdul-
lah on winning Expo2020 bid adding,
“Canada backed it because it was
the right proposal, right place, and
right time.”
