launched Makani (My Location) ap-
plication, the first of its kind smart
system for geographic addresses.
This application comes in line with
the directives of Vice President
and Prime Minister and Ruler of
Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mo-
hammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to
transform Dubai into a smart city,
The new system, enables users
to locate different destinations in
Dubai to an accuracy of a meter.

the world’s smartest city
The smart system acquires real-time co-
ordinates from satellites to provide detailed
information about location and access points
to different buildings and facilities by entering 10
unique numbers for each building entry.
Sheikh Hamdan met with the project team at the ex-
ecutive office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin
Rashid Al Maktoum at the Emirates Towers. He was
updated on the different phases of project implemen-
tation and its benefits. He installed the 10-digit ad-
dress sign of Emirates Towers at the building entry.
Sheikh Hamdan said, “We aspire to launch unique ini-
