land transport services in addition to services

proposed by customers.

The 30 smart services include registering, re-

newing and modifying data, changing names

Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme

launched “Assistant 1”, the first assis-

tant engineer drone. The step came as

a response to the directions of the UAE

government to innovate smart services

and employ modern technology to fa-

cilitate performance and ensure quality

and speed.

The UAE government intends to be the

first government to provide basic servic-

es through drones. It aims to maintain

its competitive power worldwide.

“Assistant 1” is the first smart assistant

engineer that prepares reports on the

progress of compounds executed by the

programme, in cooperation with hous-

ing project engineers. “Assistant 1” can

store sites and document photographic

and visual shots of the surveyed site

then send them to the project engineer

who can review progress in the various

construction sites in a housing project.

The Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities De-

partment (IACAD) started implementing Ihti-

waa campaign at 13 schools in its first phase,

in accordance with specific mechanisms and

under the supervision of an educator.

The purpose of the campaign launched by

the IACAD in collaboration with Dubai Police,

Dubai Education Zone, the Juveniles Aware-

ness and Care Association, and Knowledge

and Human Development Authority is to pro-

vide private and public school students with

optimal means to use smart devices.

The campaign aims to encourage students to

take necessary precautions in using technol-

ogy, as well as educating the new genera-

tion on the objectives and purposes of social

media sites. The campaign further aims to in-

teract with competent and relevant partners

with respect to the rehabilitation of juveniles

with cases at Dubai Police.
