He said Dubai Courts has already trans-
formed its most popular services (110
services) into mobile services. It aims to
eventually transform a total of 210 ser-
vices.
He said that Dubai Courts has launched
two bundles. The first bundle included 30
services mainly for law firms and the sec-
ond bundle included services for other us-
ers such as parties in lawsuits and expert
offices. The services include inquiry about
properties, follow up on execution pro-
cedures, inquiry about copy of passport,
inquiry about vehicles and bank deposits,
and inquiry from the General Directorate
of Residency and Foreigners Affairs –
Dubai, about the departure of a party.
It is noteworthy that 69% of respondents
stated they are satisfied and happy with
Dubai Courts’ mobile services. Dubai
Courts is seeking to achieve 100% happi-
ness for customers and employees.
Forty smart services from the Min-
istry of Education
The Ministry of Education is offering a
bundle of 40 smart services for parents,
students and teachers.
One of the most notable services is Ab-
naee (My Children), which includes the
service for inquiry about results and
homework. Another smart service is reg-
istering students at public schools via
smartphones by scanning the ID through
Bawabati (My Gateway) on mobile plat-
forms. The service allows parents to se-
lect the proper school for their kids and the
closest to their place of residence.
MRHE leads the transition race
Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Es-
tablishment (MRHE) has completed the
mGovernment initiative by 100%, with a
total of 40 smart services via three apps.
Iskan app enables users to apply for hous-
ing services, attach the required docu-
ments and track status of request. Another
app contains eight loan and grant services
and 15 supportive services that facilitate
the process for customers. Other apps are
for maintenance requests and introducing
housing services at MRHE.
Ministry of Social affairs introduc-
es a bundle of mobile apps
In its smart transition efforts, the Ministry
of Social Affairs released a bundle of mo-
bile applications including a mobile app,
mobile site, the website “Nama”, smart
inspection system, Mersal Intranet portal,
apps for the care and rehabilitation of the
disabled and social security app.
Ministry of Health: 60% smart tran-
sition expected to be 100% by end
of 2015
The Ministry of Health has transformed
60% of its services from electronic into
smart services, expected to reach 100%
by the end of 2015. The list of smart ser-
vices includes online collection of fees.
The app serves physicians and techni-
cians and provides schedules for the ex-
ams they need to take.
The mobile apps provide the feature to
search for authorized physicians and in-
clude information about the name, contact
information, specialization and place of
work of authorized physicians.
DNRD: 55% of smart transition
completed
The General Directorate of Residency
and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (DNRD)
projected to complete the smart transition
entirely within the next few months.
DNRD has completed 85% of its electron-
ic services and 55% of its smart services
and is currently working to transform all
services into smart ones over the next few
months.
DNRD said it is seeking to offer the best
smart services to the public, in line with
the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mo-
hammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE
Vice-President and Prime Minister and
Ruler of Dubai, who said that, “innovation
is a daily necessity in government work”.
Consumer protection services:
100% smart transition
The Ministry of Economy said all its con-
sumer protection services have now be-
come mobile services in line with the strat-
egy of the UAE government to become
an mGovernment over the course of this
year. The services can now be accessed
directly and instantly by users.
The services include consumer com-
plaints, requests to raise prices by ven-
dors and requests to retrieve goods.
MOHESR completes an entire bun-
dle of smart projects
The Ministry of Higher Education & Scien-
tific Research (MOHESR) has completed
a bundle of projects that come in line with
the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mo-
