engage the public in development plans
His Google+ page that was launched by Sheikh Mo-
hammed last February has more than 600,000 follow-
ers now. It is a diverse page that focuses on business
and projects in more detail. He has more than 500,000
followers on Instagram.
“ social media channels created new opportunities, re-
moved all barriers and made the audience part of our
development plans,” Sheikh Mohammed said.
“Exceeding six million followers on social media
channels is ultimate proof on the effectiveness
of social media and its ability to bridge gaps
and remove barriers in reaching out to all
groups of people. People are keen on
using social media and trust its cred-
ibility. I will remain in contact with
the people through such websites
and through any new and innova-
tive channel that might bring him
closer to them,” His Highness
said.

media channels have exceeded six mil-
lion, with three million followers on his
Twitter account, and more than two million
followers on his Facebook page.
