The UAE has the highest number of health facilities accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI) globally. For the fourth consecutive year, the country ranked first with 178 hospitals, medical centers, and health facilities that passed the JCI standards. This international achievement reflects the country’s highly efficient health system and integrated, medical services. These are the results of our efforts to help realize the vision of our wise leadership to secure renowned accreditation's for all hospitals and health centers in the country by 2021 in a bid to establish a sustainable health
system and a happy society.
Around 76 per cent of the local hospitals have international accreditation, surpassing the record of other developed
countries with world-class health systems. The UAE ranked first in the world in the number of accredited specialized centers, medical laboratories, primary healthcare
centers, and home health facilities.
