All over the UAE, Emiratis and expatriates alike stand together in honor of the 100th Anniversary of the birth of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and the anniversary of his Accession - 6th of August 1966, the day when the path to future unity and prosperity was first established.

Today, HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi announced 2018 as the ‘Year of Zayed’. The initiative, will celebrate the life of the extraordinary leader and national symbol of dedication, patriotism and justice famed for devoting his life to the service of his people.

The philosophy of Sheikh Zayed was brought to fruition via his deep belief in the importance of harnessing state resources to drive sustainable development for the common good. The process of the country’s development was driven by the establishment of various integral Government departments, laying the foundations of a solid administration with a sound legislative structure. In addition, venues from oil wealth distributed across vital sectors and ambitious initiatives have helped achieve sustainable development, putting the UAE on the international map.

The late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, in his speech on December 1, 2003, on the occasion of the 32nd National Day, recommended that we work hard to preserve the gains achieved by the country’s progress. We are working today to build this nation and to abide by the vision of Sheikh Zayed under the leadership and guidance of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

Based on the vision of our founding father, "Raising the level of citizens and the country as a whole is our primary objective above all," we continue to make various efforts to provide the necessary financial resources, and a balanced and diversified economy to best  raise productivity in the national economy.
