Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaiaili, Head of the Institutional Development Council at the Ministry of Interior stressed that the UAE’ leadership is keen to position the country as a role model in modernity and development through supporting the innovation journey which has become a main requirement in our contemporary world.

Major General Al Khaiaili made these remarks at the opening of the Innovation and Future Exploring Conference 2019. He noted that the Conference stems from the Ministry of Interior’s keenness to spread awareness, encourage capacity building and motivate generations to exert further efforts in an innovative manner. “The UAE endeavors to foresee the future, AI, development and the digital revolution. It also seeks to achieve the leadership’s vision, which considers that building the capacities of future generations is a major factor to achieve growth and increase competitiveness; which prompted us to give top priority to capacity-building across all of our projects and initiatives; in response to the directives of the higher leadership,” he indicated.

Adding further, Al Khaiaili said: “The Ministry of Interior adopts several plans and programs to develop innovation, creativity and uniqueness, to further improve police and security work and ensure the implementation of the best ideas and modern experiences.”

He indicated the Ministry of Interior embraces a clear strategy for innovation and future foresight, by focusing on education, training and practice. “This would allow us to overcome stereotypical performance and achieve excellence, creativity and innovation by developing and adopting several initiatives and projects. This approach has become a daily lifestyle that helps us achieve leadership in all aspects of our work and further cement our status as a local and international reference in adopting strategic development’s methodologies and practices,” he continued.

Towards the end of his speech, Major General Al Khaiaili expressed his hope to see the conference come up with appropriate results and recommendations that serve security work and achieve the coveted objectives. He thanked organizers and participants, wishing everyone the best of luck and success.
