The Zayed Day for Humanitarian Action is a significant milestone in the history of our nation, and it is when we celebrate the immense humanitarian and charitable efforts of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the UAE. It’s a day on which we reaffirm the noble values he embodied and built a tolerant country that is generous to all the peoples of the world and those in need, irrespective of their nationality, religion or societal standing.

Our celebration of Zayed Day for Humanitarian Action underscores our commitment to the legacy of Sheikh Zayed in giving and aiding the needy and extending a helping hand to the underprivileged across the world. It is no surprise that it was during his reign, the UAE became one of the largest donors of humanitarian and relief assistance vis-a-vis its national income.

At the Ministry of Finance (MoF), we have always been committed to our social role to contribute to the national efforts to provide aid and relief to the needy and the oppressed through humanitarian initiatives and activities. These efforts embody the ministry's mission to spread happiness across all strata of society.
