The national policy for senior Emiratis is a summary of the giving principles laid down by the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan-may his soul rest in peace- since the establishment of the United Arab Emirates, to spread welfare among all the categories of the community; and pursued by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, UAE Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces as well as their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the emirates.

 

 “The National Policy for Senior Emiratis is carefully studied and selected in accordance with a highly feasible and far-fetched reaching social development vision, rooted in the commitment of the Ministry of Community Development to achieve the development goals of sectors in the community, and at the same time, achieve the UAE vision 2021 and the objectives of the sustainable development strategy 2030, by contributing to the implementation of the strategic plans and strategies towards building a cohesive community, making the senior Emiratis as our top priority category, the leading candles who lit the path of the Emirati ambitions and enabled the UAE and their children reach higher ranks on the global competition list”.

 

The National Policy for senior Emiratis takes into consideration the financial and spiritual needs, achieves family and community integration, and services the national agenda at all levels, being the safety elements of raising and upbringing future generations. Her Excellency assured that the Ministry of Community Development is accelerating its initiatives, social and national ideas to actively participate in achieving a number of UAE goals and series objectives 2071 and devote its position as the happiest community in the world.

 

the National Policy for Senior emiratis which envisages senior emiratis who enjoy their lives and participate actively in a safe and cohesive society. This is an absolute priority of the Ministry to serve a wide range of community members and achieve happiness and welfare for individuals after sixty years old, a noble message that the Ministry conveys to all these category members with honesty and competency.

 

The National Policy for Senior emiratis has several goals that absolutely benefit the individuals, family members, community and the country. Its ambitious goals focus on early development, promote active aging, strengthen the value of work and initiatives for the country, raise quality of services provided for senior emiratis according to their needs, and give them financial, psychological, health, and social assistances that would have a positive impact on consolidating community and national responsibility.

 

The National Policy for senior Emiratis is inspired by the well-established values of inherited emirate customs and traditions to achieve family ambitious agendas as well as community stability and tranquility; these are all important indicators that have to be taken into consideration when dealing with senior Emiratis. All of us must provide them with attention, appreciation and respect in order to maintain the distinctiveness of the community that has proved throughout the past years its commitment to cultural values and good behaviors and adhering to the teachings of Islam religion.
