One of the objectives of the UAE’s Digital Government Strategy 2021–2025 is to enhance the skills and capabilities of the government workforce to meet the demands of advanced technologies.
In addition, the UAE Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031 includes the following as one of its 5 themes: develop capabilities and skills of all staff operating in the field of technology and organise training courses for government officials. One of its objectives is to: attract and train talent for future jobs enabled by AI.
Further, there is the Artificial Intelligence Program which will enable participants to become AI experts in their field equipped with a thorough knowledge and understanding of the different trends and uses of AI, the application of large language models, methods of adoption, the wider implications and approaches to tackling security and ethical risks.
The program is primarily aimed at government officials, but it also welcomes private sector employees and interested UAE residents. Its main goal is to empower officials with the understanding and skills required to contribute to the UAE’s journey towards its 2071 centennial goals.

It seeks to help government employees keep pace with the rapidly changing world and the emerging trends that will impact the future, so that they can support the performance, productivity, efficiency and future readiness of the UAE Government.
Jahiz account holders have access to a feature titled ‘My Future Skills Wallet’, where one can view all the courses he/she has done, and also view and download the certificates of completion.
As employees develop their skills, they earn badges and build their ‘Future Skills’ wallet. The wallet represents a personal digital file of every employee and is linked to his/her performance management system, through which badges are earned and tracked.
