Ministry of Education has adopted a two-fold approach to provide education and training inside and outside the classroom. Consequently, policies and procedures are separated into young generation education and adult education groups.

Adult education is offered in parallel to general and technical education to those who would like to have another opportunity for education to develop extra-occupational studies.

Adult education in Abu Dhabi is provided through the adult education centres of Family Development Foundation (FDF).
