Launched in February 2021, the UAE Innovates Award aims to celebrate innovative individuals and organizations in the UAE. This goes in line with the UAE’s continuous efforts to support innovative ideas and their application in the government sector and to promote the position of the UAE as one of the most innovative countries worldwide.
The UAE AI Gov Award aims to acknowledge federal, local and semi-government entities that exhibit exceptional use cases in streamlining, expanding and optimising government services through artificial intelligence (AI) powered solutions.

World Virtual GovHack is a category of the GovTech Prize which is organised annually by the World Government Summit in Dubai to acknowledge pioneers and innovators in government technology for providing global solutions to global key challenges using blockchain technologies and strategies. The prize also allows the public to submit any pressing global challenge for approval.

The Umm Al Quwain Innovation Award is aimed at enhancing competitiveness among individuals, entities, federal and local departments, institutions and companies. It also aims to diversify knowledge-based economy, bring out the best innovative practices and establish a culture of innovation in institutional work environment, as well as improve the quality of life.
In 2015, the Ministry of Interior Award for Innovative Policing Ideas was launched to encourage creativity, innovation, support the policing services and work through the organisation of a conference every two years involving all the international police and security entities in the world.
The UAE AI & Robotics Award for Good aims to encourage research and application of innovative solutions in artificial intelligence and robotics to meet existing challenges in three key categories: health, education and social services. It also aims to promote public awareness about the positive opportunities offered by these applications and turn innovative ideas into reality to develop services provided by the UAE Government.
Individuals, teams, universities and companies are eligible to participate in both the national and international competitions. UAE citizens and residents may choose to participate in either the national competition or the international competition while contestants who are not UAE citizens or residents are eligible to participate only in the international competition.
