UAE University goes mobile
The IT department at the UAE Uni-
versity (UAEU) has launched a pack-
age of mobile services. All UAEU’s
faculty members, officials, staff and
students will be able to download
the new applications onto their smart
phones and tablets to carry out all
the transactions they used to do over
the counter. The move is in line with
the smart government initiative
launched by His Highness Sheikh
Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Mak-
toum, Vice-President and Prime
Minister of the UAE and Ruler of
Dubai.
The university seeks to provide
all that serves in saving time and
efforts of its members, and this
smart application will help develop
innovative solutions for the provi-
sion of improved quality services.
The application includes a pack-
age of selected services to serve
all UAEU’s operations, and the
university welcomes any sugges-
tion or feedback that may improve
the services to befit with its reputa
-
tion.
The app offers a number of services
including the university news, aca-
demic calendar, events and activi-
ties, library services and jobs. It can
be used by the university members
as well as the public.
Through the new app, students can
check their schedules, grades, hous-
ing campuses and buses as well as
communicate with the academic and
administrative staff. The app also al-
lows a package of services related
to the university’s academic and ad-
ministrative bodies.
