He said: ‘the human history is great evidence
on the vulnerability of the development
of new means for transportation in the
economic and social systems. Each
historical era has witnessed the invention
of new transportations such as ships, cars
and airplanes that were related with a radical
change on the navigation between different
destinations around the world, which in its
turnhashadgreat effect on theeconomyand
trade growthandpromoting the exchange of
culture between nations and peoples.
He added, the world will witness in the
next decade, the birth of a new way of
transportation that will create a change,
that the technology Hyperloop may play
this role referring that Dubai continues
to take operational steps and build global
partnerships to execute the target of Dubai
strategy of the self-driving and timely
transport to transfer %25 of all the flights and
trips in the emirate to self-driving trips by
2030, in accordance with the instructions
of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin
Rashid Al Maktoum.
Al Tayer gave his statement during the
inauguration ceremonies of the Global
Hyerloop Company future vision of
the International Transportation sector.
Hyperloop is a part of Dubai Future
Accelerators Program and has recently
adopted the city as its model.
The company has shown during a special
event attended by Sultan Bin Saleem,
Chairman of DP World, Saif Al Aleli CEO of
Dubai Future and an elite of Government
Heads and CEOs of international companies
in addition to representatives from the
internationalmedia, inBurgKhalifa its future
vision to the transportation sector based on
themerge between the self-drivingmeans of
transportation and Hyperloop Train.
The event included the signing of an
agreement between Roads and Transport
Authority as a member in Dubai Future
Accelerators Institution and International
Hyperloop One within the program of
Dubai Future Accelerators to work on an
experimental project through which all
the technology application aspects will be
studiedbetweenDubai andgroupof selected
cities and destinations and its economic
feasibility.
The Emirate is planning to apply the
technology when its feasibility is proven
which shall contribute in changing the
aspects of the international transport and
logistics for ever.
Hyperloop One vision is based on inventing
an integrated self-driving system that
provides transport between long distances
with huge speeds exceeding 1200 Km/
Hour. The new transport method shall reach
Abu Dhabi from Dubai in no more than 12
minutes, and from Dubai to Riyadh in no
more than 48 minutes.
When applying this technology in the
future, it shall affect the cities’ planning and
provide parking spaces since it will change
the passengers’ transportation map between
the different destinations inside the city;
between the logistics centres like airports
and ports; and the shipping systems.
From the other part, Mr Rob Loyd, CEO of
International Hyperloop One confirmed that
Dubai has become the city of the speed and
future, and the land in which humans can
turn their dreams to reality.
He highlighted the role played by the Roads
and Transport Authority in Dubai in setting
an individual model for transport sector that
can be internationally useful.
Loyd referred that the Roads and Transport
Authority has adopted a futuristic and
strategic thinking through which it
contributes in drawing the future of the
Transport sector.
The CEO of Hyperlop One confirmed that
Dubai Future accelerators has become a
gate to the most innovative companies in
the world to achieve tangible results and
changing the world future for the humanity
interest although it is newly born.
