Mgovernment Innovation Center
in General Authority for Regulating
Telecommunication Sector developed
about 40 students and faculty members
skills in Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi
University, Al Hosn University, and Ajman
University in programming smart apps on
ios and android platforms.
The center ended the training course
program of smart phones essential
apps development held in the authority
headquarter over 4 years.
The program aims to improve the
participants skills and capacities to develop
the apps using MVC or MVP patterns. In
addition, the program seeks to expand the
participants perceptions for technologies
included in smart phone screens. The
program also contribute to enhance the
participants capacities to interact with smart
phones screens elements that help them
in developing apps using smart phones
features such as audio and networks.
Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director
General of General Authority for Regulating
Telecommunication Sector added that
in Innovation Center will spare no effort
to drive smart transformation forward in
implementation of the wise leadership
directions. Our goal is always to achieve the
national visionofmakingUAE one of the best
countries at an international level by 2021.
He also said that this program is conducted
with an increasing percentage of smart
phones prevalence in UAE and with
associated dire need to enhance national
cadre in order to be able to develop
innovative apps and programs by national
hands that meet the national demand.
Eng. Majed Al Madhloum, Director of
Mgovernment Innovative Center said that
the training program includes workshops
and discussion sessions that assist in
enhancing the participants understanding
of basic skills required to develop smart
phone apps in ios and android patterns
including swift and java software and other
software used by the developers.
He added that the program also includes
many subjects relating to integrated
software development such as Xcode
and android studio in addition to a range
of other basic concepts of software and
networks
development.
The program subjects addressed in the
first day design, platforms, control, and
presentation of patterns. The participants
receiveda trainingona rangeof programing
skills such as creation of platforms,
simulation of ios and android, and
documentation in addition to interaction
skills with software protocols and other
software required to develop e-apps.
The participants also received in the second
day a practical training
of ios and android basics
such as audio software
and taken benefit from
network services and apps
programming using java
and android and android
bookstore, in addition to
many other e-apps.
The program content is
designed to suit different
levels of experience for novice
and expert in IT and to acquire
minimum knowledge in OS X El
Capitan.
Furthermore,the Mgovernment
innovation
center
is
an
integrated
platform
that
supports innovation, creation
and research efforts in all
training
and
Mgovernment
related matters, quality control,
and consultancy services. It aims
to inseminate knowledge and to
hone skills in participation of public
general and public & private sectors
in Mgovernment initiatives and
projects.
The center is one of the most effective
strategic initiatives in achieving
transformation into smart government
in UAE.
