MWC will determine Telecommunications future

General participated in MWC in Barcelona
Spain that witnessed participation of
official delegations from somany different
countries.
HE Mohammed Ahmed Al Qamzi said
that in UAE we are always keen to actively
participate in this congress as a part of the
wise leadershipprospectivevisiononclose
relationship of constructive cooperation
with participating organizations and
countries.
He also added that we are confident
that the agenda items will contribute
to form a better and deeper insight
about telecommunications future, new
generation services, and development
trends at an international level under
the successive latest developments
representing in transformation into IoT
and Smart Cities-based new era.
The delegation agenda included an
official meeting between HE Hamad
Obaid Al Mansoori, TRA Director General
with Houlin Zhao, Secretary-General of
International Telecommunications Union
ITU in which ITC-related issues, mobile
phone networks, and service providers
have been discussed. In addition the role
of ICT sector in a sustainable development
and support for efforts of transformation
into smart cities.
He also in UAE delegation name
congratulated Mr. Jawad Abassi in his
meeting with him for his appointment
as a Head of Department of Regulatory
Affairs in GSM Association for MENA.
He also discussed with him cooperation
aspects in telecommunications sector.
At this context, he said that MWC
provides very important platform that
allows opportunities to meet with
official delegations and influential and
effective personalities at an international
telecommunications level. Furthermore, it
exhibits the most significant technologies,
apps and smart solutions in mobile phone
networks area.
He also added that UAE participation
in this annual congress over last years
are characterized with a significant
presence presenting many important
issues and points in relation to mobile
phones networks operation mechanism
development and service and coverage
improvement-related
strategies.
He added that UAE delegation was
keen to present the great progress in
Telecommunications sector in UAE as a
result of coordination and mutual efforts
between TRA as a regulatory body and the
mobile phone service providers in AUE.
He also said that these efforts are intended
to constantly promote quality of services
in order to achieve the optimal goal for
customer satisfaction.
